Below from nebris.  My situation is similar to his, only I receive social security rather than SSI.  My government check pays for less than half of my rent + electric bill.

These days all my $$ supports the local economy.  I have not bought internet vitamins in over a month due to lack of $$.  And that sure does not help me to survive.

       I have always had a difficult time with gift giving and receiving.   Seasonal gifts are an obligation in this culture which I extracted myself from as a young man.   Money was always tight and I did not enjoy shopping for others.   Compound this with my ( Read more... )
